It has been less than four years since Gov. Sam Brownback was elected and began to steer the state through some difficult and troubling economic times, guided in part by a belief that smaller, more efficient government and lower income taxes on Kansans and Kansas businesses were among the keys to economic health for the state and its residents. Now, his critics say it's time to pull the plug on forces Brownback put into play to bring about the economic health he envisions possible.
