BENNINGTON >> Vermont's E9-1-1 director says it was 83 calls to 911 that did not get through during Friday's five and a half hour outage, not 45 as previously reported, and that it took almost 24 hours to get that information, a situation he finds "unacceptable." On Friday, from 3 p.m. until approximately 8 p.m., 911 service in Vermont was disrupted when a tree fell across a main fiber optic cable in New Hampshire owned by FairPoint.
