Secondary school needed as SMVTS no longer suitable

Government is expected to construct a secondary/middle school for Labour Market Orientation students in the next one to five years as St. Maarten Vocational Training School in South Reward is no longer suitable for the education it provides. SMVTS is also overcrowded, new Education Minister Rita Bourne-Gumbs told Members of Parliament during a meeting of the Central Committee on the draft 2015 budget on Friday.
