Gov. Dave Heineman announced his appointment of State Senator John E. Nelson of Omaha to be the 40th Lieutenant Governor of Nebraska. Nelson will officially become the Lieutenant Governor at a swearing-in ceremony with Secretary of State John Gale and Gov. Heineman Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Governor's Hearing Room of the State Capitol.
