UCF awarded up to $750,000 in grants to help local entrepreneurs

UCF is one of two institutions nationwide to receive both the i6 Challenge grant and Seed Capital Fund grant, announced U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker on March 30. "These funds will be a catalyst for communities to attract broader investments to their innovation ecosystems, which will create high-wage jobs and ensure America remains the world's leader in innovation," Pritzker said. The $500,000 i6 Challenge grant will help fund UCF Maker Space labs and the UCF NSF I-Corps Site program to get researchers out of lab and talking to customers.
