N.Y. Military Museum Recognizes the Harlem Hellfighters

Lt. James Reese Europe and the jazz band of the 369th Infantry Regiment, also known as the Harlem Hellfighters, upon their return from Europe on Feb. 17, 1919. They were in heroes in France during World War I, only to be treated as second-class citizens when they returned to New York.
