Washington Wrap: Yellen defends Fed on the Hill

During her appearance before the Senate Banking Committee on Feb. 24, she tried to more clearly the central bank's strategy for eventually raising its key interest rate. Yellen said that current economic conditions do not warrant an increase to interest rates for "at least the next couple of [Federal Open Market Committee] meetings."
