In a final-week burst of campaigning, President Barack Obama sought to mobilize Democratic voters Thursday in the race for governor in Maine while keeping his distance from the state's bubbling controversy over its Ebola policies and the nurse who has defied them. Obama was headlining a rally in Portland for Mike Michaud, a six-term congressman who is running to unseat Republican Gov. Paul LePage in a neck-and-neck race.
