Gov. John Kasich and challenger Ed FitzGerald are closing their campaigns by trying to win over the same voters: Democrats. But with polls showing him far behind and his party's other statewide candidates in danger of being swept by Kasich and the Republicans, the Cuyahoga County executive spent Sunday stumping on his Democrat-rich Northeast Ohio base.
