Undocumented students and immigration reform advocates welcomed President Barack Obama's recent move to offer additional protection to undocumented parents of American citizens and permanent residents, but said the order falls short of providing respite to many undocumented immigrants. Obama announced Thursday an executive order that will allow an estimated 4 million people to apply for work permits and protection from deportation.
