Kasich, FitzGerald won't release income tax returns

Voters won't get a chance to peek at the personal financial details of either major party gubernatorial candidate this year, as both Republican incumbent John Kasich and Democratic challenger Ed FitzGerald have declined to open their household income tax returns for public perusal. Kasich campaign spokeswoman Connie Wehrkamp said the governor would not be releasing his tax returns and instead would direct voters to required financial disclosure statements filed with the Ohio Ethics Commission.
