Uber Technologies Inc. is gaining more regulatory approvals to operate in the U.S. and abroad, said David Plouffe, the company's senior vice president of policy and strategy. Plouffe, a former top adviser to President Barack Obama , repeated his comments later on a conference call with reporters, his first media call since he started working at Uber last month.
